Limassol, 23rd November 2024
To welcome the most festive time of the year, High Voltage had the pleasure of organizing the dazzling Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Limassol Marina, marking the official start of the holiday season. The much-anticipated event brought warmth, joy, and light to the Marina Square, as the impressive 12-metre-high Christmas tree illuminated the night sky against the sparkling backdrop of the sea.
From 16:00 onwards, visitors enjoyed a rich festive programme filled with music, performances, and family activities. The celebration featured an interactive arts and crafts workshop for children hosted by Aphi Creative Space, along with a heartwarming performance by the “ΑΡΗΣ” children’s choir, filling the Marina with classic Christmas tunes. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Funky Grannies performed live from 18:00 to 20:30, while the Angelina School of Dance impressed the crowd with a lively dance performance.
Guests also had the opportunity to support the Funraising Charity Foundation by visiting beautifully decorated stalls offering festive products, handmade gifts, and seasonal treats. The evening’s magic reached its peak when Santa Claus arrived between 18:00 and 20:00 to greet children and spread holiday cheer with gifts and smiles.
The highlight of the evening was the official lighting of the Christmas tree by Mr. Yiannis Armeftis, Mayor of Limassol, marking the official launch of this year’s “Christmas on the Sea” celebrations. The event was broadcast live by Kanali 6 from 16:00 to 18:00, capturing the festive spirit and excitement of the crowd.
The High Voltage team is proud to have brought this special event to life — combining creativity, organization, and festive energy to deliver a truly magical experience for families, friends, and visitors of all ages.
