George Gakis & The Troublemakers are one of the most iconic presences in the rock music scene for decades, both in Greece and abroad, with six albums to their credit and collaborations with “living legends” of the global rock stage such as SCORPIONS, DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE, RAINBOW, JOE LYNN TURNER, KIP WINGER, and many others!
They have also had important collaborations with symphony orchestras, such as the Municipal Orchestra of Thessaloniki, skillfully combining rock and classical music, presenting works by The Beatles, Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, as well as original compositions by George Gakis himself.
At the same time, in his hometown Ioannina, George has organized the Castle Rock Festival and the Ioannina Rock City Festival, while also holding rock music seminars for school students in the city’s municipal venues.
Thanks to him, major names such as SCORPIONS, DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE, RAINBOW, Glenn Hughes, WINGER, and many others have performed in Ioannina.
Recently, he released his sixth studio album, titled “Parallel Dimensions”, featuring music and lyrics written by himself.
