Antreas Choutris

Andreas Choutris is a Cypriot singer and songwriter from Limassol, with family roots in Lefkoniko, in the occupied Famagusta district. Growing up in a musical family, he was introduced to music at a young age, surrounded by the sounds of rebetiko — the Greek urban folk tradition that shaped his earliest influences.

Although music has always been an essential part of his life, Andreas took a step back from performing for a time. In 2005, encouraged by close friends, he returned to the stage with renewed passion and a distinctly personal musical style — a fusion of contemporary Greek art song (entechno), rock, and laiko (popular Greek) elements.

A defining moment in Andreas’s artistic journey came in 2020, when a serious personal accident became the catalyst for a deeply creative collaboration with acclaimed poet and lyricist Martha Kanari.
This partnership opened new artistic horizons and led to an important collaboration with Christos Dantis, one of the most influential and respected figures in the Greek music scene.
